I've got BT business broadband, I've had this fault since day one and had countless replacement broadband routers of different varieties, adsl filters, network leads.... The lot! I've got two computers connected via ethernet and 2 laptops and a phone via wifi. Basically I'll be browsing for 5-10 minutes then suddenly you notice the browser stops loading images, and then you click on refresh and nothing happens for 10-15 seconds, then eventually it says that it "cannot connect to web page" or "cannot resolve DNS name" or something like that. You wait 5-10 minutes more, try loading it again and boom, it loads fine. This happens to all the computers/phones connected at the same time. It's really random/sporadic and can leave you pulling out your hair. I can assure you it isn't an internal error in my network as it happens to everything that is connected, even if I unplug all computers wired in ethernet it still happens to the things connected wirelessly. I've tried calling BT so many times it's become something of a routine, but they just run their little line test which always comes back fine and tell me that they can't pursue it as a fault as it's passing all tests their end. It isn't the router as I've mentioned above, it has been replaced about 5 times. Apart from this hanging problem the internet is fine with really fast connection (at least, more than what I need) but when it hangs I can't even pull up the google homepage. Anyone got any idea why this is happening??? Any comments will be well received. P.s. also tried using OpenDNS lookup service but it made no difference.
